1 Tbsp

1/2 Cup

Brown Sugar (optional)

1/4 Cup

Bourbon Whiskey

1/2 Cup

Apple Cider Vinegar

2 Tbsp

Worchestershire Sauce

1/2 tsp

Honey

1/4 Cup

Instructions

Mise en Place (Get everything ready)

1) Peel and mince garlic
2) Peel and finely dice shallot

Process

1) Heat skillet with oil to medium, add garlic and shallot for 1-2 minutes. Watch closely and stir to prevent burning.

2) Add remaining ingredients, except honey, to skillet and bring to a boil.

3) Reduce to a simmer, stirring every 5-10 minutes for 20-25 minutes or until sauce has reduced to almost the desired consistency. Remove from heat and let set a few minutes to cool, add honey and whisk until absorbed.

4) Use immediately or allow to cool before moving to a container for storage. Glaze can be stored in fridge for up to 10 days and freezer for 2-3 months in a freezer safe container.

Additional Notes:

If you want to make a thinner sauce, add 1/2 to 3/4 cup of water. The flavor transforms as it is being cooked so adjusting the amount of liquid is key to controlling the thickness.
